New Fire Station

BRENTWOOD, CA – A location has been identified for construction of a third fire station within Brentwood city limits. The City of Brentwood is striving to improve community life, safety and property protection by building the new station, to be operated by the East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. Fire Station 56 will be located at the northwest corner of Grant Street and Shady Willow Lane, in northwest Brentwood, on a one-acre site, approximately ½ mile south of Lone Tree Way and ½ mile east of the State Route 4 Bypass.

Still in the conceptual stages, the proposed station will be approximately 7,000 square feet in size and will house 3 firefighters. The architect for the station expects to deliver the first set of plans to the city this fall, at which time the plans will be available for review at the City’s Community Development Department at 104 Oak Street. The station is expected to open in the summer of 2005, with construction anticipated to begin in the summer or fall of 2004.
