About Us

The City of Brentwood Wastewater Treatment Plant receives wastewater from over 16,000 connections, through approximately 190 miles of sewer mains and lateral connections. The plant utilizes an oxidation ditch process and has a capacity to treat 5.0 million gallons of sewage/wastewater per day (MGD). This tertiary treatment discharges treated, processed and disinfected recycled water into Marsh Creek that meets or exceeds CA Title 22 drinking water standards. The treatment plant was designed and built to allow the City to expand to an average dry weather flow of 10 MGD for the buildout of the city.

As the City grows with well planned direction, so does the state-of-the-art Wastewater Treatment Facility. With the ability to expand when needed to meet the future development of the City, Brentwood is poised for the ability to provide service for its businesses and residents into the future.
