| Creek Maintenance |
| |
Creeks enhance our community and are a shared maintenance responsibility between the City, the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District and private owners of creekside property. The greatest portion of the four creeks within the City limits; Marsh Creek, Sand Creek, Deer Creek, and Dry Creek, are owned and maintained by a public agency, either the City or the Flood Control District. In some locations creek maintenance is the responsibility of the creekside property owner. The attached Creek Ownership Map identifies ownership and maintenance responsibility.
Directions and Guidelines for Creek Maintenance by property owners was developed by the City as a tool and reference source to be used by creekside property owners.
Should you notice creeks in need of maintenance, please contact the City of Brentwood, Streets Division, (925) 516-6000 or submit a Service Request. |
