 Become an Instructor

The City of Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department is currently seeking instructors to offer fun and exciting recreational and educational classes to our community. Our department offers a wide variety of recreational programs to citizens of all ages. These programs take place in city parks, schools, community centers, and other locations.

If you are a school teacher, business owner, or have a special skill, and you would like to teach adults or children, the City of Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department is the place for you. Why teach for our department? How about extra income? This can help your business grow, and can give you the exposure you're looking for. Our department will advertise your class in our activities guides that are distributed to Brentwood and Discovery Bay residents.

To become a contract instructor, it’s easy….

Submit a class proposal that provides us with the following:

  • A brief summary of the class that you are interested in teaching.
  • What makes your class different from any other class?
  • Schedule of sessions and type or size of facility you would need to operate your class.
  • What would be your maximum and minimum number of participants?
  • What you need to charge for the class.

Submit your proposal to the Parks and Recreation Department at 35 Oak Street, Brentwood, CA. 94513 or fax to (925) 516-5447. If you have any questions please contact the Parks and Recreation Office at (925) 516-5444.
