Established in 1948, the Brentwood Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency that epitomizes the City’s core values of integrity, passion, accountability, respect and quality. The professional men and women of our department are dedicated to providing the citizens of Brentwood the best police services possible. The Brentwood Police Department has a long and proud history of partnering with the community and working together to make the City of Brentwood a safe and secure place to live, work and play.
The Brentwood Police Department services an area of approximately 14 square miles. The City is divided up into 4 separate, geographical beats. We serve a growing population that is approximately 50,000 residents. Our department currently has 62 sworn police officers and another 17 civilian support staff. In addition to our permanent staff, we have approximately 20 volunteers who are citizens of our community and assist us with our day to day operations.
In 2008, the Brentwood Police Department responded to 28,246 police calls for service, made 1,724 arrests, issued 8,807 traffic citations, investigated 523 traffic collisions and conducted 6,053 follow up investigations of criminal offenses.
