Sand Creek Business Center: Creating Jobs for an Active Marketplace

In order to encourage economic development and job creation, the Agency provided $1.5 million to the project for infrastructure and roadway improvements.  In partnership with a local developer, the resulting highly successful Sand Creek Business Center will result in:

1. 40 acre mixed use development
2. Nine office buildings
3. 60 room hotel
4. Two restaurant sites
5. Ten acre business center
6. Storage facility
7. Creating 856 jobs
8. Adding $130,000 in annual hotel revenues to the City
9. Adding $43,000 in annual sales revenues to the City
10. Increasing the assessed value of the property by $62 million
11. Local economic multiplier effect of $36 million annually

The nine building office complex has become the City’s financial district with tenants such as credit unions, title companies, real estate brokerages, lending institutions and corporate offices for a national brokerage firm, all offering professional career-level jobs.
