Redevelopment works to ensure that current businesses are able to sustain and grow under current market conditions.Portable Stage The Agency spent $150,000 to purchase a state-of-art portable stage for Downtown festivals, events, concerts and community programs.  The stage has lights and sound system, and has been used continuously since its purchase in 2004.  The summer night concert and movies bring families and couples to the Downtown to enjoy the many shopping and dining offering

Summertime in the Downtown
Sponsored by the Agency, the Summertime in the Downtown concert series provided a venue to attract pedestrians to Downtown to shop and dine at local shops and restaurants, adding vibrancy and street activity.

Delta Theater Marquee
$35,000 was funded to restore and rehabilitate the Delta Theater marquee to its original 1938 art deco design and appearance.  The preservation of this historical landmark adds to the quaint feeling of Downtown and celebrates Brentwood’s past.

Chamber of Commerce Joint Marketing
The Agency partners with the Chamber of Commerce to develop a marketing program and advertising campaign that included colorful event signs and banners for the Downtown, emphasizing the quality of shopping and dining experience in Brentwood.

The Redevelopment Agency annually funds the decorative improvements in the Downtown in an effort to promote and market the pedestrian-friendly atmosphere for families, visitors, diners and shoppers. Tree lights, seasonal flower rotations, and strolling troubadours during the holiday season add to the historical and welcoming ambience of the Downtown district.
