Program Descriptions

The City’s Affordable Housing Program is available for Brentwood residents, workers, and other eligible households that qualify under the Very Low-, Low-, or Moderate Income Category.

Based on the information that a person provides in regards to their household size and annual income is the first qualifying factor for placement on the interest/waiting list. To see if your income qualifies please check the Income Guideline Sheet.

The City’s Housing Ordinance gives a priority status to the following categories of households (in the following order):

Emergency and School District Personnel (East Diablo Fire District, Brentwood Police Department, Brentwood Union School District, Liberty Union High School District or the Brentwood Campus of Los Medanos Community College personnel;
Brentwood residents (must be a resident for at least 6 months);
Non-residents employed full-time (40 hours per week) within the City of Brentwood;
All other households with eligible household incomes.
