What is Green Building?

Green Building practices promote construction of buildings which incorporate the use of intelligent design and sustainable materials to create buildings that are healthier and produce less waste than traditional building techniques. This creates an environment which is both livable for the occupants and healthier for the environment.

Green building practices offer an opportunity to create environmentally-sound and resource-efficient buildings by using an integrated approach to design. Green buildings promote resource conservation, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water conservation features;
