Under supervision of Pool Manager, Assistant Pool Manager, responsible for recreational swimming, overseeing of staff responsibilities, enforcement of staff responsibilities, enforcement of all rules and staff safety standards. Ensures the safety of facility patrons by preventing accidents and responding to emergencies. Performs other related duties as required. Maintains order of the aquatic facility and its programs. Provides customer service and enforces Parks and Recreation rules and regulations. Works special events such as facility rentals, recreational special events, and/or swim camps. A sample of duties may include but not be limited to: performing chemical testing, completing all logs and reports, ensuring the safety of all patrons of the aquatic facility, overseeing pool operations. Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK WEEKENDS,EVENING HOURS AND HOLIDAYS AND TO FULFILL THEIR JOB DUTIES THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SEASON. (May-September)
Must be at least seventeen (17) years of age. Must be able to successfully meet all course requirements as outlined in the Ellis & Associates National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program, or posses a current National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program license. Must possess at least one(1) season of Lifeguard experience at or above the Lifeguard I level. Knowledge of recreation services, aquatic programs, and the ability to deal effectively with both youth and adults, and work without immediate supervision. Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight. Ability to work efficiently within the parameters of an established Emergency Action Plan (EAP). Ability to exit from a pool/attraction at any point without the use of ladders, steps, or a zero depth exit.
$10.83 – 13.16 per hour, no benefits
