Under supervision of the Pool Manager, Assistant Manager or Senior Lifeguard, ensures the safety of facility patrons by preventing accidents and responding to emergencies. Performs other related duties as required. Maintains order of the aquatic facility and its programs. Provides customer service and enforces parks and recreation rules and regulations. A sample of duties may include but not be limited to: performing chemical testing, completing all logs and reports, ensuring the safety of all patrons of the aquatic facility. Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK WEEKENDS, EVENING HOURS AND HOLIDAYS AND TO FULFILL THEIR JOB DUTIES THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SEASON. (May-September)
Must be at least fifteen (15) years of age. Must be able to successfully meet all course requirements as outlined in the Ellis & Associates National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program, or posses a current Ellis & Associates National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program license. Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight. Ability to work efficiently within the parameters of an established Emergency Action Plan (EAP). Ability to exit from a pool/attraction at any point without the use of ladders, steps, or a zero depth exit.
$9.25 – 11.24 per hour, no benefits

The examination process may include a written test, hands-on computer test, oral interview, pre-employment physical examination, and/or background investigation.
