CITY OF BRENTWOOD
A regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Brentwood was called to order at 9:05 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 734 Third Street, with Chairman McPoland presiding.

1. Approve Minutes of June 17, 2002 and June 25, 2002. Pulled for further discussion.
2. Approve Resolution No. RA-56 approving an agreement for purchase of a parcel from Balfour, Guthrie & Company, in an amount not to exceed $12,050, for a portion of real property generally located contiguous to and southwesterly of the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way and extending from the northerly boundary line of Balfour Road northerly to the easterly boundary line of Walnut Boulevard; hereby accepting real property on behalf of the Agency; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary or any of their designees to execute the agreement and such other documents as may be needed to complete the transaction including acceptance of the Grant Deed.
3. Authorize the Executive Director to execute a Consultant Contract with Seifel Consulting Inc. for Redevelopment Advisory Services, not to exceed $60,000.
It was moved/seconded by Petrovich/Hill to approve Consent Calendar Items 2 and 3 as recommended by staff. Motion carried with Member Gomes absent.

It was moved/seconded by Petrovich/Hill to approve the Minutes of June 25, 2002 as submitted. Motion carried with Member Gomes absent and Member Beckstrand abstaining.
4. Consideration by Agency Members regarding Compensation in Accordance with Bylaws of the Redevelopment Agency adopted September 22, 1981.
Gina Rozenski, Redevelopment Analyst, explained that in preparing the 2002/03 Budget, staff noticed that the Agency members were not receiving the allowed compensation of $30.00 per meeting. Ms. Rozenski requested direction from the Agency as to whether to initiate the payment of compensation at this time, and whether compensation should remain at the designated amount of $30 per meeting.
It was moved/seconded
by Beckstrand/McPoland to memorialize the current practice and abolish
the pay. Motion carried with Member Gomes absent.
