Reject the claim of Brentwood Unified School District (the “District”) that
was presented on January 06 2006, as recommended by the City’s third-party
adjuster, Municipal Pooling Authority of Northern California.
The District presented a claim in the amount of $2,370.25 for an incident
that took place on December 6, 2005, at 140 Birch Street, Brentwood.
Claimant alleged a water main broke on the east side of the campus behind
the Bristow Theater. This claim was recommended for rejection because the
construction was performed by a contractor, hired by the District. The
District did not contact Underground Service Alert or the City Public Works
Department for marking of the underground utilities prior to the work being
undertaken. The City was not alerted until the District call for assistance
with a water main shut off.
