Subject/Title: Set the date for the appeal of Conditional Use Permit No. 05-13 (Master Sign Program for the Siena Village project)

Set November 8, 2005, as the public hearing date to consider the appeal by Sansome Pacific Properties, Inc.

On October 4, 2005, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider Conditional Use Permit No. 05-13 for Blackhawk-Nunn and Balfour Properties to establish a Master Sign Program for their Siena Village project located at the northwest corner of Balfour Road and the State Route 4 Bypass. The Commission voted 3-1 (Commissioner Londos voted no) to approve this Conditional Use Permit application, subject to conditions, pursuant to Resolution No. 05-69.

By the attached letter submitted October 13, 2005, as required by Section 17.880.003.D of the Zoning Ordinance, Paul Erickson (on behalf of Sansome Pacific Properties, Inc.) submitted a written statement appealing the Planning Commission decision of October 4, 2005, regarding Conditional Use Permit No. 05-13. Per Sections 17.880.002 and 003.B and E (Appeal Procedure and Set Hearing), the applicant's appeal letter is being forwarded to the City Council. It is recommended that the City Council set November 8, 2005 as the date for the public hearing on the appeal request.
