Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Change Order,
moving $80,000 of the previously approved $100,000 from Purchase Order 4155
(Contra Costa County Building Inspector Department) to Purchase Order 4197 (Linhart
Peterson Powers Association).
On August 10, 2004, by Resolution 2004-198, City Council approved a list of
vendors that staff felt may go over the $50,000 limit during the 2004/05
On June 8, 2004, by Resolution 2004-132, City Council approved the Amended
2004/05 Operating Budget.
The Contra Costa County Building Inspector Department and Linhart Peterson
Powers Association (LP2A), both provide Contract Inspectors as needed to the
City of Brentwood. In August, 2004, City Council approved an additional
$100,000 for the Contra Costa County Building Inspector Department and an
additional $120,000 for LP2A. However, all Contract Inspector services since
that time have been provided by LP2A. We are requesting that $80,000 be
transferred from Purchase Order 4155 for the Contra Costa County Building
Inspector Department to Purchase Order 4197 for LP2A, in order to satisfy
current and future expenses for plan check and contract building inspector
services. The total amount previously allocated for outside contracted
inspection does not change.
There is no fiscal impact for this requested action.
