Proclamation of the City of Brentwood
Recognizing Amada Lopez

WHEREAS, The City of Brentwood Youth Commission established the Youth Commission scholarships for one male and one female graduating senior in 2002. Each scholarship awarded is in the amount of $1,000.

WHEREAS, Amada has excelled as a student at Liberty High School and will attended a four-year university in the Fall.

WHEREAS, her cumulative grade point average of 3.56 far exceeded the minimum City of Brentwood Youth Commission scholarship requirements.

WHEREAS, Amada is the oldest of six children and has been working part-time since she was a freshmen. She will be the first generation in her family attending college.

WHEREAS, City of Brentwood Youth Commission has reviewed all applications and has selected this fine candidate to receive the City of Brentwood Youth Commission’s Female Scholarship for the 2003/04 school year.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Brentwood honors Amada Lopez for her commitment to academics and her desire to future her education and career endeavors.

Recognizing Bryan Pridmore Jr.

WHEREAS, The City of Brentwood Youth Commission established the Youth Commission scholarships for one male and one female graduating senior in 2002. Each scholarship awarded is in the amount of $1,000.

WHEREAS, Bryan Pridmore Jr. has excelled as a student at Liberty High School and will attended Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego this Fall.

WHEREAS, his cumulative grade point average of 3.50 far exceeded the minimum City of Brentwood Youth Commission scholarship requirements.

WHEREAS, Bryan has persevered through personal and physical challenges.

WHEREAS, City of Brentwood Youth Commission has reviewed all applications and has selected this fine candidate to receive the City of Brentwood Youth Commission’s Male Scholarship for the 2003/04 school year.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Brentwood honors Bryan Pridmore Jr. for his commitment to academics and his desire to future his education and career endeavors.
