Approve a Resolution authorizing the contribution of $10,000 from the City Manager’s contingency fund toward the Liberty High School A Cappella and Chamber Singers Choirs’ participation in the 2003 National Music Festival of the States.
The Liberty High School A Cappella and Chamber Singers Choirs have been selected to represent the State of California at the National Music Festival of the States in Washington, D.C. The festival spans the period of February through November of 2003. Liberty’s performances would be June 12-15. This is certainly a great honor for the school and for our Brentwood students.
Every year the City budgets for a City Manager’s Contingency fund in order to subsidize unforeseen items such as this. There are sufficient resources in this General Fund account to cover this expense, which has already been budgeted as a contingency.
