Subject/Title: Approve a Resolution amending the budget of the Women’s Club and the Water Treatment Plant for the re-roofing of both buildings.

RECOMMENDATION
Approve a Resolution amending the budgets of the Women’s Club and the Water Treatment Plant for new roofs.

BACKGROUND 
Both buildings were inspected by NORTHWEST Consulting & Inspections, Inc. in April 2002 and were determined to be past due in the need for new roofs. Work to be performed will include complete removal of the existing roofs, replacement of damaged sheeting or eves, and the application a 30-lb underlayment and new 50-year asphalt roofs on each of the facilities.

FISCAL IMPACT 
Women’s Club budget will be amended by $6,125. The Water Treatment Plant budget will be amended by $6,131. Funds for these amendments will come from the Building Replacement Administration Fund #704. 





RESOLUTION NO. 


A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRENTWOOD AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE WOMEN’S CLUB AND THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR THE RE-ROOFING OF BOTH BUILDINGS


WHEREAS, NORTHWEST Consulting & Inspections, Inc. conducted a survey of roofs on City facilities in April 2002; and

WHEREAS, there was a determination in the roofing survey indicating that the roofs of the Women’s Club and Waste Water Treatment Plant are past due for replacement; and

WHEREAS, E.G. Roofing has provided the lowest bid for the replacement of these roofs.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brentwood, that the budgets for the Women’s Club and the Waste Water Treatment Plant be amended by $6,125 and $6,131 respectively, with funding coming from the Building Administration Fun #704.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Brentwood at a regular meeting on the 8th day of October 2002 by the following vote:
