CITY COUNCIL AGENDA ITEM NO. 14

Meeting Date: April 10, 2001

Subject/Title: Donation of an Omni 120 Trac Blueprint Machine to Liberty Union High School

Submitted by: Pamela Ehler/Becky Bridgen, Finance Department

Approved by: Jon Elam, City Manager

RECOMMENDATIONS
Motion to approve the donation of the Omni 120 Trac blueprint machine to Liberty Union High School.

PREVIOUS ACTION
None

BACKGROUND
Recently the Engineering Department upgraded their blueprint machine to an Oce Large Format Engineering Copier. In addition to being environmentally-safe, the new machine is faster and more economical than the Omni 120. The ammonia based Omni 120 is obsolete and there is no resale value. The City does not have a need for the older system and staff is proposing its donation to the Liberty Union High School. Bob Gonzalez, LUHS Industrial Arts teacher, has expressed an interest in the machine as it will greatly assist them in their curriculum.
