Approved by: Jon Elam, City Manager

RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with TJB Concrete for sidewalk replacement on Sherwood Drive and Pippo Avenue for an amount not to exceed $49,500.

PREVIOUS ACTION
The 2000-2001 CIP budget approved by the City Council included funding for this program.

Public Works utilizes contract services for replacement of damaged sidewalks caused by street trees.

Proposals were solicited from three (3) concrete contractors. TJB Concrete submitted the lowest proposal at $7.50 per square foot. Total cost for repair of the 6,000 square feet estimated for this year totals $45,000; including a 10% contingency. The total contract shall not exceed $49,500.

Bid results are as follows:

Swisher Concrete $8.25 per square foot
R Brothers Concrete $8.00 per square foot
TJB Concrete $7.50 per square foot
