YOUTH COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES Monday, December 2, 2002 Pee Wee Muldoons 8900 Brentwood Boulevard Brentwood, CA 94514 CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:29 p.m. by Chairperson Ashley Brown. ROLL CALL: The following Commissioners were present: Ashley Brown, Cynthia Fredenberg, Brea Bryant, Jessica Ordaz, Brian Fredenberg, Taylor Brinkman, Megan DeGuerre, Cynthia Fredenberg, Crystal Hammers, and Daisy Hurtado. Others present were Adult Advisor Dave Lang; Poldina Scherff, Recreation Services Supervisor; Craig Bronzan, Director of Parks & Recreation; and Carrie Pankhurst, Recreation Coordinator. Adult Advisor Dave Lang was absent. AGENDA REVIEW: No comments. CITIZEN COMMENTS: None. CONSENT CALENDAR: Item No. 1 Approval of the minutes of regular meeting on October 14, 2002. Commissioner Bryant moved to accept the minutes of the meeting of October 14, 2002. Commissioner Hurtado seconded the motion and motion carried unanimously. Item No. 2 Accept calendar of scheduled meetings for 2003 (P. Scherff). Commissioner Bryant moved to accept the calendar of scheduled meetings for 2003. Commissioner Hurtado seconded the motion and motion carried unanimously. SCHEDULED MATTERS: Item No. 3 Discussion of downtown Snow Park (P. Scherff). Ms. Scherff discussed dates and times for the downtown Snow Park and asked that any Commissioners interested in volunteering to help contact her as soon as possible. CITIZENS COMMENTS: None COMMISSIONER COMMENTS: Commissioner Bryant announced a message from Leonard Roudman of the library that the Teen Reading Program Party will be taking place on Thursday, December 5th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Community Center Blue Room. Pizza, munchies, soft drinks and a DJ will be provided. STAFF COMMENTS: Ms. Scherff also asked for volunteers for the Breakfast with Santa event. Also mentioned the possibility of the Youth Commissioners volunteering at the Veteran’s Hall Thanksgiving dinner. ADJOURNMENT: Meeting was adjourned at 6:42 p.m. |
