ROLL CALL and OPENING: Meeting commenced at 7:14 p.m. Commissioners in attendance were Casey Billingsley, Coree Brown, Stacie Del Chiaro, Cynthia Fredenberg and advisors Dave Lang. Parks and Recreation Staff in attendance Poldina Scherff.

Absent commissioners were Angela Ordaz, Gabriela Elizarraraz, Holly Bryan, Maria Segura.

CONSENT CALENDAR:

1. Approval of minutes of regular meeting on July 10, 2000. Stacie approved minutes Coree 2nd.
2. Approval of Resolution in Support of a one-eighth cent sales tax for Contra Costa Libraries. Coree made a motion to approve the resolution, Cynthia 2nd the motion.

OLD BUSINESS:

1. The commission discussed and reviewed the applications submitted for Youth Commission Members. The commissioners recommended the following applicants to City Council for appointment: Casey Billingsley, Stacie Del Chiaro, Lacey Barry, Ashley Brown, Daisy Hurtado, Jessica Ordaz, Laura Wenograd, David Lang.
2. The commission discussed the Business Expo on August 31. They decided to do spin art and bead art at the booth. The commission allocated $250 towards supplies.
3. Staff reported that the Fright Fest road trip for 7th-12th grades would be held on October 28. The commission informed staff that it was homecoming for Liberty High School. They suggested October 21st. Staff would look into changing the date.
4. Dave informed the commission that he would give an update at the next meeting.

ADJOURNMENT: Casey motioned to adjourn at 8:04 p.m. and Stacie second the motion. 4-0 motion carried.
