SCHEDULED MATTERS
ACTION ITEM: Designate members to select the 2009 Home of the Month winners and discuss pursing donations from local businesses to give to the winners as part of their reward. A sign-up sheet was passed around for members to select a month between April-December to pick a Home of the Month winner in their quadrant. Each monthly member will select a home, coordinate with the homeowner for the award presentation and prepare a short article about the home to accompany the photo in the newspaper. A donation letter was also provided to members so they can solicit for donations of prizes to give Home of the Month winners, along with the certificate, mugs and lawn sign that the winners already receive.

2. DISCUSSION ITEM: Select subcommittee to research and recommend details regarding offering a city-wide clean-up day and special event/concert for seniors. The committee determined that they would like to focus only on offering a clean-up day at this time so the senior concert was tabled. A subcommittee consisting of members Nickerson, Skuza and Laranang was selected to start discussion and research into the project. They will report back to the committee at the March meeting to discuss ideas and make any recommendations.

INFORMATIONAL REPORTS FROM COMMITTEE MEMBERS, SUBCOMMITTEES AND LIAISONS: Council Member Brandon Richey updated the committee on a few items from the previous night’s City Council meeting.
