CITIZEN COMMENTS: PERSONS ADDRESSING THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION ARE REQUIRED TO LIMIT THEIR REMARKS TO FIVE (5) MINUTES UNLESS AN EXTENSION OF TIME IS GRANTED BY THE CHAIR SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION. SPEAKERS DESIRING ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS SHOULD DIRECT SAME TO THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION AND, IF RELEVANT, THE COMMISSION MAY DIRECT SAME TO APPROPRIATE MEMBER FOR REPORT.

CONSENT CALENDAR: ALL MATTERS LISTED ON THE CONSENT CALENDAR SECTION WILL BE CONSIDERED ROUTINE BY THE COMMISSION AND WILL BE ENACTED BY ONE MOTION. THERE WILL BE NO SEPARATE DISCUSSIONS OF THESE ITEMS. IF DISCUSSION IS REQUIRED, THAT PARTICULAR ITEM WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE CONSENT CALENDAR SECTION AND WILL BE CONSIDERED SEPARATELY.

1. Approve minutes of regular meeting of April 26, 2001.
2. Acceptance of staff reports from Park Services Manager/Recreation Services Supervisors.
3. Accept Bicycle Subcommittee report (J. Hansen).
4. Accept City Council staff report regarding rental fees for Aquatic Complex (S. Barry).
5. Accept City Council staff report concerning use of facilities by Brentwood residents (K. DeSilva).

SCHEDULED MATTERS:

6. Update on all-weather track for third high school (C. Bronzan/Roger Wilson).
7. Discussion of installation of a brick memorial plaque at Creekside Park by Soroptomist International of East Contra Costa County (B. Margesson).
8. Discussion of Centex trailhead proposal (J. Hansen).
9. Update on possible date of June 27, 2001 for joint Commission tour of Brentwood (C. Bronzan).
10. Discussion of ways to disseminate department information in a timely manner to Commission (C. Bronzan).
11. Discussion of park approval process related to follow-up of conditions and selection of play apparatus (J. Hansen).
12. Discussion of establishment of creek/park clean-up days (K. Rarey).
13. Review of first draft of naming of facilities policy recommendation (C. Bronzan).
