CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 6:05 p.m.

ROLL CALL: Committee members Karen Nunez, Rick Fuller, Claudette Natural-Staton, Johnny Staton, Stephen Smith, and Tammy Lynn Misenheimer were in attendance. Staff Liaison Barbie Gary was also in attendance. Members Alfredo Garcia, Cecilia Skuza, and Cheryl Nickerson were absent, as well as Staff Liaison Michele Keady and Council member Brandon Richey.

PRESENTATIONS: Diane Burgis, Friends of Marsh Creek Watershed (FOMC)
Diane informed the committee that FOMC is now incorporated and a tax-exempt organization. She shared about recent volunteer work days, including the Martin Luther King Day of Service held at 12 sites in Brentwood and Oakley in January, which yielded over three tons of trash collected. Another volunteer work day to plant 1000 oak trees is scheduled for Earth Day, April 24, 2010, at four sites in Brentwood and six in Oakley.

CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Approve regular meeting minutes of January 13, 2010. Motion to approve the minutes made by Rick Fuller and seconded by Karen Nunez . Approved 6-0.

SCHEDULED MATTERS
ACTION ITEM: Election of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Public Relations Representative for 2010. The following officers were elected:
Chair: Claudette Natural-Staton
Vice-Chair: Tammy Lynn Misenheimer
Secretary: Karen Nunez
Treasurer: Stephen Smith
Public Relations Representative: Johnny Staton
Motion to approve the officers was made by Karen Nunez and seconded by Rick Fuller. Motion approved 6-0.

2. ACTION ITEM: Assignment of members for Home of the Month selections. Staff Liaison Barbie Gary passed out a sign-up sheet for members to select a month in which to pick a home for the Home of the Month program. The member in charge of each month will coordinate with the homeowner for the presentation and signature of any paperwork, prepare a short article for the local newspaper and provide a photo of the house for the City’s website and local newspaper. Assignments are as follows:
April: Rick Fuller, Quadrant 3
May: Steve Smith, Quadrant 2
June: Karen Nunez, Quadrant 3
July: Tammy Lynn Misenheimer, Quadrant 4
August: Johnny Staton, Quadrant 3
September: Rick Fuller, Quadrant 1
October/Halloween: Tammy Lynn Misenheimer
December/Holiday: None assigned
3. DISCUSSION ITEM: Assemble list of event dates for a yearly event calendar. The committee had requested this agenda item at their January 2010 meeting so they could better plan and participate in any Brentwood events. The committee reviewed a calendar listing that Staff Liaison Gary prepared and decided that they would like to revisit the calendar at the April meeting to add more items and make the listing BANC’s Master Calendar. The committee also mentioned that they would like to set a date soon for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

STAFF COMMENTS: Staff Liaison Gary invited the committee to attend one of the City Council Park Ad Hoc Committee meetings held on March 10th and 31st.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Report from committee members who attended the City Council Park Ad Hoc Committee meeting, update of the BANC Master Calendar and discussion regarding planning a city tour.
