CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL - Chair Fuller called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

A. PRESENTATION(S) - None

PUBLIC COMMENTS - None

INFORMATIONAL REPORTS FROM COMMITTEE MEMBERS, SUBCOMMITTEES AND LIAISONS
Mayor Taylor shared highlights regarding the $350,000 being used to upgrade McClarren Park.

B. CONSENT CALENDAR All matters listed on the consent calendar are considered routine in nature and will be enacted by one motion. If discussion is required, that particular item will be removed from the consent calendar and will be considered separately.

B.1 Approve regular meeting minutes of June 12, 2013.

Motion: approve Consent Calendar
Moved by Klement; seconded by Palestro.

Vote: Motion carried 9-0

C. SCHEDULED MATTERS

C.1 DISCUSSION ITEM: Receive update and review responsibilities for the National Night Out event, scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, 2013. (M.Keady/P. Scherff)

Everything is proceeding according to plan. Members who agreed to participate: Rick Fuller, Shelly McHugh, Maria Pearl, Cathy Palestro and Karen Nunez. Joanne Klement will write the article regarding National Night Out. It was decided that the recipient for the June Home of the Season was not responding and the certificate should be mailed to the recipient.

C.2 ACTION ITEM: Review the Bark in the Park event scheduled for Saturday, August 24, 2013 at City Park and approve funding to purchase event supplies. (Fuller, Klement, Naturel-Staton)

Discourage the vendors from selling due to the involved insurance clause made necessary by the city. Klement to contact balloon artist and Naturel-Staton to bring water. Team members should plan on being at the event between 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Motion: approve up to $150 for banners and $42.50 plus shipping to purchase participant medals.

C.3 UPDATE: Receive update from the subcommittee assigned to create a BANC decal. (McHugh, Naturel-Station, Nunez)

September: Updates from the Decal and Christmas Tree Lighting subcommittees
