CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 6:07 p.m.

ROLL CALL: Johnny Staton, Steve Smith, Claudette Naturel-Staton, Karen Nunez, Cecilia Skuza, Rick Fuller and Cheryl Nickerson were present. Staff Liaisons Barbie Gary and Michele Keady were present. Members Alfredo Garcia, Tammy Lynn Misenheimer and Angela Waters were absent.

PRESENTATIONS: Gene Metz, John Marsh Historic Trust, presented an update on the refurbishing of the John Marsh House and status of future construction.

CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. Approve regular meeting minutes of November 10, 2010. Motion to approve the minutes made by Rick Fuller and seconded by Cheryl Nickerson. Motion approved 7-0.

SCHEDULED MATTERS
2. DISCUSSION ITEM: Feedback and discussion of the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held on December 3, 2010. It was the consensus of the committee that the ceremony went very well. Suggestions for the event to be held in 2011 consisted of more hot chocolate, smaller cups and that the event should start at 6:00 p.m. in order to help with assisting families.

3. ACTION ITEM: Determine format for 2011 Home of the Month program and approve a budget not to exceed $400 to purchase program supplies. The Home of the Month format has changed. The committee voted to approve a Chairperson for the Home of the Month Program who will pick houses to be voted on by the committee. The Chairperson is Rick Fuller (back-up is Karen Nunez). It was also agreed to budget $400 for purchasing supplies such as signs and certficates. Motion was made by Karen Nunez and seconded by Cheryl Nickerson approving the new format and $400 to purchase program supplies. Motion approved 7-0.

4. ACTION ITEM: Nomination of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Public Relations Representative. The following persons were elected:
Chair -- Claudette Naturel Staton
Vice Chair – Karen Nunez
Secretary – Angela Waters
Treasurer – Steve Smith
Public Relations Representative – Johnny Staton
Motion to accept new positions made by Karen Nunez and seconded by Johnny Staton. Motion approved 7-0.
