CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Approve regular meeting minutes of October 8, 2008. Motion to approve the minutes made by Sheilah Cunningham and seconded by Tammy Lynn Misenheimer. Approved 7-0.

SCHEDULED MATTERS

2. DISCUSSION ITEM: Update from subcommittee regarding the annual Tree Lighting event and finalize member assignments and supplies still needed. The committee discussed details regarding the tree lighting, including what supplies were still needed, assignments and when to gather to decorate the tree at City Park. The committee decided to meet at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3 to complete the decoration of the tree. The Committee will meet at 3:00 pm on Friday, the day of the Tree Lighting, to decorate the park for the event.

3. ACTION ITEM: Determine details related to offering the annual Home of the Season contest for the December Home of the Month award and appoint a subcommittee to select the home. The committee discussed the special Home of the Season contest and determined that nominations for homes would be collected until December 14th and the presentation made to the winning home on December 17th. A subcommittee of Gari Laranang, Valerie Smith, and Claudette Naturel-Staton will select the winning home and communicate with the committee regarding the time of the presentation on December 17th.

4. ACTION ITEM: Determine format for 2009 Home of the Month program and approve a budget not to exceed $400 to purchase program supplies. Item was tabled until the December meeting.
