Poldina Scherff, Recreation Manager, informed the Commission that the copper thief has struck again at Veterans Park. In preparation for the cameras to be installed new wiring was installed last week along with boring of holes for the poles to be installed. And this week in hopes of completing this project, it was found that the wires were removed and taken. In their haste of leaving the area quickly, they did leave a roll behind. A task force has been formed and will meet this coming Friday to see what can be done about this. Unfortunately, there will be a delay in putting in the cameras at this park.

With that being said, a date needs to be selected for the unveiling of the poetry contest art element. The following dates were available from the City Council office, April 20, April 26, or April 28. The Commission decided 4 pm would be ideal for this event.
