Motion to approve the update on the Art, Wine & Jazz Festival. SCHEDULED MATTERS: Poldina Scherff, Recreation Manager, explained the processes involved in seeking out a qualified photographer for this Public Art Project. The Request for Quotation Request is currently under review by legal council. Once the document has been approved, it will then be sent out to a list of photographers we have on file. Poldina Scherff requested that the Commission let her know of any other photographers they may know of to be included on the list. This document will contain the Public Art Program Guidelines, layout of the library and samples of what could be done on the walls. Once the proposals are returned back a advisory group will be formed to review the proposals and conduct the interviews with the photographers. A photographer will then be selected and brought forward for approval by the City Council; they will then proceed with the project. Poldina Scherff mentioned that photographs was selected for this project over murals because photographs can be interchanged versus murals, they are more stagnant.
