RE: Review the draft Belief Statement for the Arts Commission
At the October 24 and November 7, 2005 workshops on Creating Public Value for the Arts in Brentwood, facilitator Sabrina Klein worked with the attendants to develop a belief statement that accurately reflects who the Arts Commission is, what we stand for and believe in and identify with. Below is the draft that was developed. Please review it and be prepared to discuss it at the January 25, 2006 Arts Commission workshop at 6 pm, prior to the regularly scheduled meeting at 7 pm.
“We believe the arts can reveal the essence of Brentwood and create an environment that combines the tranquility of nature with the intellectual and sensual joys of the arts bringing together the multifaceted communities that are Brentwood. The arts are a legacy of assets both personal and public for our community.”
