NOTICE OF CITY OF BRENTWOOD NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Brentwood Arts Commission will hold a workshop on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the Arts Commission’s belief statement developed in October and November 2005 in the workshop titled “Creating Public Value for the Arts in Brentwood. The workshop will be held at the Brentwood Technology Center, 101 Sandcreek Road, Brentwood, CA 95413 /s/__________________________ ___ NOTICE Arts Commission DATE: February 22, 2006 TO: Arts Commissioners FROM: Sandy Gill, Chair RE: Review the draft Belief Statement for the Arts Commission At the October 24 and November 7, 2005 workshops on Creating Public Value for the Arts in Brentwood, facilitator Sabrina Klein worked with the attendants to develop a belief statement that accurately reflects who the Arts Commission is, what we stand for and believe in and identify with. Below is the draft that was developed. Please review it and be prepared to discuss it at the January 25, 2006 Arts Commission workshop at 6 pm, prior to the regularly scheduled meeting at 7 pm. “We believe the arts can reveal the essence of Brentwood and create an environment that combines the tranquility of nature with the intellectual and sensual joys of the arts bringing together the multifaceted communities that are Brentwood. The arts are a legacy of assets both personal and public for our community.” |
