AGENDA REVIEW:

CITIZEN COMMENTS: PERSONS ADDRESSING THE ARTS COMMISSION ARE REQUIRED TO LIMIT THEIR REMARKS TO FIVE (5) MINUTES UNLESS AN EXTENSION OF TIME IS GRANTED BY THE CHAIR SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE ARTS COMMISSION. SPEAKERS DESIRING ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS SHOULD DIRECT SAME TO THE ARTS COMMISSION AND, IF RELEVANT, THE COMMISSION MAY DIRECT SAME TO APPROPRIATE MEMBER FOR REPORT.

CONSENT CALENDAR: ALL MATTERS LISTED ON THE CONSENT CALENDAR SECTION WILL BE CONSIDERED ROUTINE BY THE COMMISSION AND WILL BE ENACTED BY ONE MOTION. THERE WILL BE NO SEPARATE DISCUSSIONS OF THESE ITEMS. IF DISCUSSION IS REQUIRED, THAT PARTICULAR ITEM WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE CONSENT CALENDAR SECTION AND WILL BE CONSIDERED SEPARATELY.

1. Approval of minutes of regular meeting of February 28, 2001.
2. Accept Artbeat newsletter from the Arts & Culture Commission of Contra Costa County.
3. Accept copies of Arts Commission Bylaws.

4. Discussion on condition of the downtown fountain (S. Barry/D. Parsons).
5. Discussion regarding building color selections (M. Leana).
6. Discussion of recommended language regarding general policy statement for general plan update
related to art in public places (M. Leana)
7. Discuss options on Arts Commission working with Planning Commission regarding art in public places (M. Leana).
8. Consideration of workshop with City Council regarding projects and programs (C. Bronzan).
9. Update on Summer Concert Series (P. Scherff).
10. Discussion of whether the Arts Commission wishes to add a paragraph about the Commission to their page on the City website (S. Barry).
11. Discussion of East County Arts Network Hotline (S. Barry).
12. Update from Arts Commission Subcommittee for the downtown barbecue (S. Barry/C. Robinson).
13. Discussion of City tour for possible art locations (C. Robinson).
14. Update on bronze statue (B. Weber).
