Helen Myers

Background: Helen was born and raised in Pennsylvania and moved to California in 1953 where her husband took a teaching job in Antioch for 32 years. Helen purchased Irene’s Dress Shop in Brentwood in 1976 (closed in 2000) and also opened Weathervane Western Wear in 1980 which is still going strong today. She is also half owner of the health food store, Health Hut, located here in Brentwood. She enjoys all sports but especially football. Helen is interested in arts as a whole. “There are a lot of other things pertaining to art besides just a picture.”

Her vision: To see art on a full scale basis in Brentwood schools, “Talent lies within our schools. If it’s not cultivated, it will be lost.”
