Brentwood Art Society:

Shortly after the formation of the City of Brentwood Arts Commission, a group of individuals formed the Brentwood Art Society. The specific purpose for which this nonprofit corporation was formed is to raise funds for art and cultural support through various events within Brentwood and through membership. The Art Society’s purpose is to create art in the community, promote public support and participation for the arts in Brentwood through the encouragement of the private sector and local educational institutions.

The mission of the society is to support the City of Brentwood Arts Commission in specific programs and activities such as the Annual Society membership drive/fundraiser, previewing Art Exhibits, participation in the Art for Art Sake Street Exhibit and VIP art preview and sale at the Day in the Park Art & Wine Festival.

Memberships to the Brentwood Art Society are available in various degrees. Individuals, families and businesses are encouraged to apply for membership to support the Society. Qualifications for members are to have an interest in promoting art and culture within Brentwood. The Brentwood Art Society is governed by a Board of Directors and by-laws formed by the organization. Members have no voting rights, however certain privileges apply depending on the level of membership.
